WBO African Heavyweight Champion Richard Nii Lartey Harrison visits CODA boss, Hon Jerry Shaib
WBO African Heavyweight Champion Richard Nii Lartey Harrison on Thursday, 11th June, 2020 visited Hon. Jerry Ahmed Shaib at his office to discuss the development of sports especially boxing in Chorkor and its surrounding communities.
According to Hon. Ahmed who is a member of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) executive board, sports offers many opportunities in terms of income generation and consensus building, which are two important building blocks of economic and social development.
“It is refreshing to know that indigenous boxing stars of international repute such as Richard Harrison are committed to the realisation of this ideal. As an authority, we believe in forging the right partnerships and collaborations that will help quicken the pace of our development” he expressed.
Jerry Ahmed Shaib who is a keen sports enthusiast is leading the construction of sports facilities (astro turfs for football and other games) at James Town, Bukom and Mamprobi.
