Ghana has a lot of amateur boxers who have turned into professionals over the years. Some of these pros have had all their fights in the country and retired from boxing. It is every boxer’s dream to fight for a world title and one key thing for such opportunity is having good management who can get you the appropriate fights to build your ranks to the top.

It was therefore a great news for our very own Mohammed “GyataBi” Wasiru who currently holds the WBO Global Super Bantam title to secure a deal with American promoter Cameron Dunkin, of D&D Boxing.
The American promoter secured the services of ‘Gyata Bi’ after reaching an agreement with his manager John Manfo.

The Chief Editor of Boxinghana.com, Mr. Samuel Ofosuhene who is currently based in the US enquired from Wasiru’s manager John Manfo what the deal entails.
” Its a long term promotional agreement, main aim is to work for a world title challenge in the near future.” John Manfo briefly stated.
Though unwilling to give full details about the contract, he gave assurance of it being a good deal
“I cant discuss the details of the agreement, but its very much a good deal for the boxer, and maintain his coach as well who will be preparing him along with TeamWasiru for all future fights on Showtime Boxing” John Manfo, Wasiru’s manager concluded.

Trusting on the words of Wasiru’s manager, we say congratulations to TeamWasiru and assure our followers of more details as and when we get them. Keep watching this space!
