Three out of the five WBO officials named for the World title fight between Ghana’s Isaac Dogboe and Mexico’s Cesar Juarez on January 6th are expected to arrive in Ghana on Thursday.

The fight will come off at the Bukom Boxing Arena, and the duo will be fighting for the interim WBO World super bantamweight belt.

The trio to arrive in Ghana are, referee Tony Weeks from USA, South Africa’s Deon Dwarte (judge) and Spain’s Fernando Laguna (Judge) – the other two, Italy’s Matteo Montella-D’ariola (judge) and America’s John Duggan, Esq. (supervisor) will be arriving on January 5th.

For Weeks and Dwarte it will be their second time officiating a boxing bout in Ghana – the duo were in the West African country in July 2017 when Dogboe stopped Javier Chacon to defend his WBO international super bantamweight strap.

However, it will be Laguna’s first time coming to Ghana.
