Father/trainer of Isaac Dogboe, Paul Dogboe has revealed that his charge will be moving up in weight after his unification bout in November or December.

Dogboe became Ghana’s eighth world champion after stopping then champion Jessie Magdaleno in round 11 to win the WBO World super bantamweight belt.

“Now we will be defending the title in August and then November/December we will do a unification and then in April we move up to featherweight,” senior Dogboe said.

He continued, “There is no way we are going to wait at the super bantamweight because 23 years-old, he (Isaac Dogboe), now he is walking about 158/160Ibs and before the fight he is 122Ibs, that is crazy so we can’t wait to go to featherweight and ending of next year when we get success and we knock these featherweight champions out and unify the division we move up against to super featherweight and we are going.”

Paul concluded saying his son is into boxing to break and set records.

“I’m telling the world when he (Isaac Dogboe) keeps his composure and he keep doing what he is doing, the plan that we have set and he doesn’t change his mindset, he is going to be a five or six weight division champion. He is going to set a record, we are not hoping it is something that has to happen because we believe with God all things are possible.”
