Sheriff Quaye and Benjamin Lamptey are ready for their much awaited rematch this Saturday at the Bukom Boxing Arena.
The clash which is the main bout is put together by Azumah Nelson Promotions.
The upcoming clash forms part of the 60th birthday celebration of boxing legend Azumah Nelson.
At Friday’s weigh-in at the Bukom Boxing Arena, Quaye had to step on the scales twice before making the weight – he first weighed 137Ibs but later weighted 135Ibs.
For Lamptey, he tipped the scales on his first attempt – he weighed 13Ibs.
A stake for the clash between Quaye-Lamptey is the vacant National lightweight belt.
The two boxers fought two years ago and Quaye toppled Lamptey with a controversial split decision.
Now Lamptey has been offered the opportunity to seek for a revenge.
For the other weigh-ins, Abraham Osei Bonsu and Patrick Ayi weighed 130Ibs. Bonsu will be defending his National super featherweight against Ayi.
Michael Ansah weighed 133Ibs as against Isaac Dowuona’s 132Ibs.
Nigerian but based in Ghana Wahab Oluwasuen came in at 131ibs, while Togo’s Moubi Sarouna weighed 136Ibs.
Emmanuel Danso tipped the scales at 176Ibs while Stephen Abbey tipped the scales at the 172Ibs.
