Ghana’s Richard Commey is the new International Boxing Federation (IBF) world lightweight champion after destroying Russia’s Isa Chaniev.
The Ghanaian dropped the Russian twice enroute to round two stoppage on February 3, 2019, in Frisco, Texas.
With the win, Commey becomes Ghana’s ninth world champion.
