Ghana’s Richard Commey has gotten a new date for his return to the ring, Boxingghana.com can report
The Ghanaian was originally billed to fight on the undercard of the unification bout between Mikey Garcia (WBC World lightweight cahmpion) and Robert Easter (IBF World lightweight champion) on July 28th.
Instead of the July 28th date, Commey will now return on August 4th and it will take place at Nassau Colisuem in New York – his opponent is yet to be confirmed.
The 31 year-old hard puncher’s next bout will be on the undercard of Devon Alexander and Andre Berto.
Commey, who is IBF’s number one contender will take on the winner between Garcia vs Easter.
The James Town earned the shot to challenge for the World Title for the second time after destroying Alejandro Luna in seven last March.
His first World Title fight was two years ago, but he lost via a controversial decision to Robert Easter Jnr.
