Ghana’s George Ashie has left the shores of the country for Scotland ahead of his upcoming bout against Scotland’s Stephen Ormond.
Ashie departed last night with his trainer Akai Nettey and he is expected to arrive today.
The clash between Ashie and Ormond is a non title fight and it will be held at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow.
Ashie currently holds the interim WBO Africa lightweight belt – he defeated South Africa’s Michael Mokoena to claim the belt.
Ormond is his last fight which was two months ago, he decisioned Nelson Altamirano.
A win for Ashie will definitely keep his World Title hopes alive.
The Ghanaian was signed by Dubai-based promotional outfit MTK Global three months ago.
