Paa Kwesi Ankrah Stopped In Round One By 47-Year Old Turkish Boxer

Ghana’s Paa Kwesi Ankrah (14-8, 12 KOs) was destroyed in round one by 47 year-old Turkish boxer Firat Arslan (42-8-2, 27 KOs) on Saturday night in Turkey.

Arslan, WBO number 2 ranked, proved too strong for the Ghanaian as he won the WBO Inter-continental junior heavyweight title.

After the fight, Arslan in interview said:

“My aim is to be the oldest world champion in cruiserweight division,” said Arslan who faces another African, Pascal Ndomba of Tanzania for the GBU cruiserweight world title in Germany on June 16.
