Top Rank on ESPN championship boxing returns this Saturday, April 24 from a sold-out Silver Spurs Arena (Kissimmee, Florida), as many of the sport’s best Puerto Rican fighters look to thrill the Florida faithful. In the main event, Mexico’s Emanuel Navarrete will defend his WBO featherweight world title against Puerto Rico’s Christopher Diaz. In the co-feature, Puerto Rican super middleweight sensation Edgar Berlanga (16-0, 16 first-round KOs) hopes to extend “the streak” against veteran contender Demond Nicholson.
Promoted by Top Rank, in association with All Star Boxing, Navarrete-Diaz and Berlanga-Nicholson will air live on ESPN, ESPN Deportes and ESPN + at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT. The undercard, including top Puerto Rican prospects Josue “The Prodigy” Vargas, Joseph “Blessed Hands” Adorno and Xander Zayas, will stream live on ESPN+ at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT.
Navarrete, Diaz, Berlanga, Vargas, Adorno and Zayas will meet the media for a Zoom press conference Tuesday beginning at 12 p.m. ET/9 a.m. PT.
