IT CAN NOW BE REVEALED that three major television networks have entered into an agreement with a major US boxing Promoter to broadcast WABA sanctioned boxing fights in the US boxing markets starting from June this year. This development will enable the promoter in the USA to flip flop the shows on a weekly basis to give space to boxers to showcase their boxing skills.

Also,two major corporate sponsors have joined the fray to grow boxing talents. On the heels of it’s unprecedented move to tap boxing talents, WABA has enlisted top notch boxing experts to advise on how to harvest from the US catchment area.

According to the President and Chair of the Board of WABA Hon Ky Colonel Onesmo Alfred McBride Ngowi, Africa’s only world sanction body will work hard to cultivate boxing skills to grow talented world boxing champions.

The WABA’s Czar himself, a former paid rank boxer, talked about the need for more opportunities for boxers around the world saying that there are so many boxers who do not get opportunity to showcase their worth.

Hon. Ky Colonel Ngowi who was commissioned by the Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky to be the Ambassador of Goodwill basing on his global activities as a humanitarian and philanthropist, sees the need to help boxers from developing countries to showcase their boxing talents.

In doing this monumental work, the World Alliance Boxing Association (WABA) will sanction State, Zonal and Continental (Africa) titles as well as International, Intercontinental, Global and Supreme World Titles respectively.

The WABA Supremo rubbished those casting doubts on the so-called Alphabetical sanction bodies saying that such sentiments are selfishly motivated..

It remains to be seen how much influence does the New Kid on the Block exert to the fluid boxing fraternity as the Covid-19 has caused tremendous negative impact to the industry.
