The Commonwealth super featherweight title eliminator bout between Nigeria’s Joshua Oluwaseun Wahab and Liam Dillon of Britain scheduled to take place tomorrow has been postponed.
In a tweet from the unbeaten super featherweight prospect who holds the WBO Africa strap said
“Am sorry to announce to all my lovely fan’s. My fight has been postponed. Sorry for the disappointment. New date will be announce soon, thanks for the love and support God bless you all🙏🏼❤️🖤 @Streetwisemgt @DiBellaEnt @BoxingGhana @BoxAfrica @KboXtv @FightingGist”
With the fight date set for tomorrow, both boxers might have been fully prepared to face each other in the square ring.
Joshua ‘the Wealth Machine’ Wahab (22-0, 5KOs) after a round 5 KO victory over Muksini Swalehe to win the vacant WBO Africa Super feather title, defended it successfully from the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel via a round 7 tko victory over fellow Tanzanian Jackson Malinyingi.
After a successful title defense, the Ghana based Nigerian is surely on track towards a world title shot after securing an eliminator bout for the Commonwealth super featherweight title, thanks to his management Streetwise and most importantly his promoter, Lou DiBella.
