Former world champion Joshua Clottey was very emphatic and has again warned both Dogboe and Tagoe to resist the temptation of squaring off against each other.

Joshua made these comments when he granted an interview with a local television station UTV on thursday.

According to the former IBF World welterweight champion, it is suicidal for any of the boxers, especially Tagoe to drop weight from 130.

“Even my daughter will beat Tagoe if he decides to drop weight to that level, because he is going to be so weak that even throwing a punch is going to be difficult.”

He lamented how complicated the pugilist sport can be hence the need to be smart and take precautionary measures “People are just talking, I am told one was insulting me, But trust me, boxing is no joke, Believe you me if he decides to drop weight to that level even my daughter will beat him.”

He further clarified that assertion amongst a section of the public that his comments were uninformed.

“Look they can fight nobody disputes, but trust me he won’t last twelve rounds if he drops that low”

Most followers of boxing are highly expectant, but the former world champion reiterated that both boxers are better off concentrating on conquering their various weight classes.
