Smith-Vlasov to headline Saturday bill from Las Vegas LIVE on ESPN
Championship boxing returns to ESPN this Saturday, Feb. 13, as blue collar hero Joe Smith Jr. battles Russian veteran Maxim Vlasov for the vacant WBO light heavyweight world title from the MGM Grand Las Vegas Bubble. The 10-round lightweight co-feature will see former world champion Richard Commey take on Jackson Marinez. And, in a six-round heavyweight special attraction, KO artist Jared Anderson (7-0, 7 KOs) will fight Bubble favorite Kingsley Ibeh.
Promoted by Top Rank, in association with Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing, Smith-Vlasov and Commey-Marinez will air live on ESPN in the United States at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT. The undercard, including Anderson-Ibeh, will stream live on ESPN+ starting at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT.
Anderson, Marinez, Commey, Vlasov, Smith, Top Rank President Todd duBoef, Lou DiBella (Commey’s Promoter) and DeGuardia (Smith’s promoter) will meet the media for a Zoom press conference Monday beginning at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT.
