Father and trainer of Isaac Dogboe, Paul Dogboe, has predicted a KO win for his son against Japanese warrior Hidenori Otake.

Isaac will be making his first defense of his WBO World super bantamweight belt against Otake on August 25th at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona.

Ahead of the fight,  Paul and Isaac’s junior brother Josiah Dogboe shared a video talking about the forthcoming bout.

According to the two, Otake will come like a warrior but Isaac will break him down.

“We know that Hidenori is going to come strong, Josiah said. “But i personally feel that this is his last chance at a title shot. We know that Isaac is going to bring down, we are holding  him by his balls and break the bull down.”

Then senior Dogboe came in, “Yes, we are going to hold him and break the bull down, this is it. This guy [Hidenori Otake], is a like a kamoukazi warrior, Otake is going to come at Isaac like a Kamoukazi warrior because he has got nothing to lose, 37 year-old, but we know he can fight. Isaac has everything to lose here, he is the world champion, 23 year-old, i mean this is the fight of Isaac’s life. This is the fight Isaac is going to step up again to go and unify the title. This fight we are taking it very serious, like his junior brother said we are going to hold the bull by his balls and we are going to break the bull down that is Otake.

Paul continued, “We are bringing Otake down because this is the only way and like his junior brother said he is going to come at Isaac like a kamoukazi warrior, we know Otake is a very strong boxer and we know he has got nothing to lose so he is going to come and be throwing anything but the Royal Storm Isaac Dogboe has what it takes that will break Otake down. It is going to be a knockout, this fight can’t go the distance. Otake is going to have that attitude of either he knock Isaac out or Isaacc knock him down. That is how the kamoukazi fighters are.”

Dogboe (19-0, 13 KOs) established himself as one of boxing’s best young champions in 2018 with a pair of signature victories. He knocked out Cesar Juarez in the fifth round on Jan. 6 in his hometown of Accra, Ghana, to win the interim WBO junior featherweight title. On April 28 in Philadelphia, Dogboe won the title in dramatic fashion, surviving a first-round knockdown to stop Jessie Magdaleno in the 11th round in a Fight of the Year contender. A 2012 Olympian, Dogboe had a rapid rise through the pro ranks, winning the WBO Oriental and WBO Africa featherweight titles en route to junior featherweight title contention. Boxing is in the Dogboe lineage as his father/trainer, Paul Dogboe, once served as a boxing coach and a physical instructor in the British Army.

Otake (31-2-3, 14 KOs), from Tokyo, has been a professional for more than 12 years and is riding a nine-bout winning streak dating back to Nov. 22, 2014. On that day, he challenged Scott Quigg for the WBA super bantamweight title, dropping a unanimous decision. He won the vacant Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) title on March 17, 2017 with a unanimous decision against Jelbirt Gomera. Otake defended the OBPF title three times, most recently scoring a 10th-round TKO over Brian Lobetania in Tokyo on March 13.
