The former WBO world champion, Isaac ‘the Royal Storm’ Dogboe after launching a strong comeback campaign towards becoming a 2 time world champion with an 8th round TKO win against the American Chris Avalos in July this year has been matched up with the undefeated Irish Michael Conlan (14-0, 8KOs).
The Belfast born pugilist ‘Mick’ Conlan last fought in August this year in the UK handing Sofiane Takoucht a defeat via a TKO in the 10th round.
On this mouth watering match up, Michael Conlan was quoted to have verbally accepted the challenge
“If it’s Isaac Dogboe then bring it on but I’ll fight anyone”
In a response to Conlan’s comment, the 2x world champion hopeful explained his reason for choosing the Irish boxer
“… My main reason to fight conlan @mickconlan11 is the mere fact that he’s the quickest route for me to become a 2X World Champion! When His name was mentioned I said ”Yes Sir, I LOVE IT. LETS GO!”
Unexpectedly, Michael Conlan has already started beating the war drums between him and the Royal Storm hitting him with some hefty verbal punches after confirmation of their fight in London on December 5 despite final agreement deal has not been signed yet.
“I’m really excited for this fight — [he’s a] former world champion and dangerous guy. As soon as it was mentioned, I said, ‘Yes get it done.’ Isaac likes to talk, and I’m looking forward to shutting him up!”
This caught Dogboe’s attention who laughed it off with this message to Conlan’s corner
“You man are getting too excited already… My guy in the other corner hasn’t even signed the contract and already he’s chatting about “Shutting me Up” 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾”
We have some few weeks to fight night but the build up is already getting intense. Don’t take a man on a mission for granted after haven described his route to being a 2X World champion as “quickest route” through Conlan.
