Reigning WBO World super bantamweight champion, Isaac Dogboe, has returned to Ghana and preparing feverishly for his August 25th title defence in USA.
After winning the WBO World super bantamweight belt over Jessie Magdaleno on April 28th, 2018, the Ghanaian moved to UK to visit his family and also started light training for his next fight.
Ahead of his first defence of his strap against Japan’s Hidenori Otake, Dogboe has returned to Ghana to roundup his preparations before moving to USA for the fight.
Otake holds a four-year winning streak, the last time he lost a bout was in 2014 when he was outpointed by Scott Quigg.
His first career loss was against compatriot Manabu Koguchi in 2007.
The fight against Dogboe will be Otake’s second fight outside the shores of Japan – the first one was against Quigg of England.
