Habib Ahmed returns on August 15, sets eyes on Middleweight belt

Habib Ahmed christened “Wild Hurricane” will clash with Alantez Fox Saturday August 14th in an 8 round middleweight contest.

The Ghanaian former super middleweight titlist now docile in the United State will now campaign at middleweight after meeting with Nelson Azzur and Herman Caicedo manager and trainer respectively.

Ahmed (27-1-1, 18 KOs) made that decision to drop to the 160lbs division after his loss to Gilberto Ramirez. Caicedo told Ahmed that he is not a 168lbs division boxer but rather a 160lbs.
“You are not a Super Middleweight boxer, because I know how super middleweight fighters looks like” said Caicedo. “Naturally you are a middleweight” he added.

After the Ramirez fight, Ahmed have had two tuned up fights and was scheduled to face Rob Brant for his first middleweight fight but Brant suffered a hand injury and the fight was called off.

“It’s been a while since I had a fight when my last fight got cancelled because of my opponent but we did not stop, we kept training immediately the lockdown was lifted” Ahmed expressed. “I’m ready to get into the middleweight ranking and challenge any of the belts. The Fox fight will not be easy. I can’t wait to get busy” he added.
