Government To Reward Isaac Dogboe

Youth and Sports Minister, Isaac Asiamah, has confirmed that government will be rewarding Isaac Dogboe following his last Saturday’s triumph at the Bukom Boxing Arena.

Dogboe claimed Ghana’s eighth World title after stopping Mexico’s Cesar Juarez in round five to win the interim WBO World super bantamweight belt.

And Mr Asiamah who was at ring side as Dogboe destroyed Juarez after the bout said:

“In the coming weeks you will hear from government. I can promise you that the President would reward Dogboe handsomely for his performance tonight.

“I am so proud of him and all I can say now is that he is so focused, determined and disciplined and that is what every boxer needs to attain greater heights in the country.”

The 23 year-old former Olympian in now in line to face full WBO World super bantamweight champion Jessie Magdaleno who is currently injured.
