Duke Micah last fought against Janiel Rivera and came out on top in their bantamweight clash. The self styled ‘Baby Faced Terminator’ now has the opportunity to add his name to the growing list of Ghanaian world champions on Saturday 26, September 2020, at the Mohegan Sun Casino, Uncasville, Connecticut, USA against John Riel Casimero.

The promoters of the clash are TGB Promotions – Tom Brown, Sampson Boxing – Sampson Lewkowicz, and is set to be aired live on Showtime PPV.

An undercard to the World Boxing Council middleweight championship encounter between Jermall Charlo and Sergiy Derevyanchenko. Duke Micah is currently rated 39 as against Casimero’s 3.

Undefeated Duke Micah with a record of 24 wins 19 by way of knockouts must go past Philipino’s John Riel Casimero who has 4 defeats out of 33 encounters with 20 victories by way of KOes.

Alias ‘Quadro Alas,’ the World Boxing Organisation World Bantam Titlist, Casimero, is optimistic about his chances and is hoping to successfully defend the title for the first time as world champion.

Born John Riel Reponte Casimero, the 31 year old Casimero has chalked 219 rounds of pure professional boxing with a percentage knockouts ratio of 60.61% as against the 28 year old Micah with a record 24 bouts in 128 rounds of boxing, with KOs percentage ratio of 79.17%.

With a slight height advantage of 5′ 7″   /   170cm to Casimero’s 5′ 4″   /   163cm, the hungry Ghanaian is well poised to carry the day as he aims for the opportunity of becoming Ghana’s 11th world champion.

Casimero is not new to an African challenge, his last fight was against South Africa’s Zolani Tete whom he KOed. The Philipino has fought the likes of Cesar Ramirez, Ricardo Espinoza Franco, Kenya Yamashita, Jose Pech and secured back to back victories all by way of KOes, but lost to Jonas Sultan.

Micah who became inactive for a whole year after his victory over America’s Thomas Snow has now gotten over his ring rust with victories over Janiel Rivera and Luis Roy Suarez Cruz.

The highly rated Ghanaian is well positioned to carry the day in what connoisseurs of the game dubbed an ‘exciting bantamweight contest over 12 rounds.’

Duke Micah is a former World Boxing Council International Bantamweight Titlist, Commonwealth (British Empire) Bantamweight champion as well as World Boxing Organisation Africa Bantam King.
