The Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) has sent birthday well wishes and victory messages to world title chasing Richard Commey who fights on his birthday in faraway United States of America (USA) later tonight.

Commey (25-2, 22 KOs) will square off against American, Alejandro Luna (22-0, 15 KOs) at the Freeman Coliseum, Houston, Texas in a final eliminator for the IBF Lightweight world title held by another American, Robert Easter Jr.

A statement from the Communications Department of the GBA said the President, Peter Zwennes and his entire executives and well-wishers, as well as the Ghana Boxing Supporters Union and the Media wish ‘Azonto’ Commey good luck and victory.

“Happy birthday champ, we believe you have trained and prepared well for this fight and will give a good account of yourself to secure the much needed win,” the statement noted.

“We are fully behind you and eager to see you set up the rematch against Robert Easter Jr and win the world title for Ghana this time. We wish you good luck and pray you crown the night of your birthday with victory,” it added.
