The Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) has issued measures to inform promoters that henceforth all local sanctioning approval must be in conformity with the under listed directives for its promotion to be sanctioned.
The directive ordered by the President. Mr. Peter Zwennes and signed by Secretary General, Mr. Patrick Johnson said promoters must:
1. Take note that acknowledgment of receipt of your request does not constitute automatic sanctioning of the fight nor is it a guarantee that your request for the particular fight date will be granted.
2. Irrespective of that if the date is accepted all contracts shall be submitted to the GBA office 10days before the day of the weighin.
3. The Promotion will be rescheduled if the fight contracts do not get to the gba office before the specified date.
4. A total of eight (8) fights at the maximum will be sanctioned for the promotion. there cannot be more than eight (8) fights on the bill.
5. All Boxers on the bill must produce their licenses on the day of the weigh-in.
6. The gba will not sanction any promotion if the above conditions are not met by the promoter.
7. Any promoter who wants to promote a national title fight must seek the prior approval of the GBA.
