Former five division world champion Floyd Mayweather has scheduled his next exhibition fight – and the Hall of Famer is set to collide with John Gotti III, grandson of organized crime icon John Gotti.

The event will be called “Last Name Matter” – and takes place on Sunday, June 11 in Sunrise, Florida & Accompanied by Performances from Ozuna, Romeo Santos

An official press conference is taking place on Thursday in Florida, where Mayweather and Gotti will go face to face.

Mayweather is dedicated the event to the memory of Marikit “Kitchie” Laurico, his longtime assistant who passed away suddenly in April.

Gotti, 30-year-old, became a pro MMA fighter after spending several years in the amateurs. After going pro in 2017, he built a record of 5-1

He turned to boxing last October, going pro with a four round unanimous decision win. Gotti came back to the ring this past January with a first round knockout.

Mayweather, 46-years-old, retired from the sport in 2017 with a perfect 50-0 record, after knocking out UFC star Conor McGregor in a cross-sport showdown.

Since retiring, Mayweather has taken part in several exhibition bouts – with the biggest being his 2021 encounter with social media star Logan Paul.

Mayweather took part in three exhibitions in 2022, including a bout with KSI’s younger brother Deji. Mayweather made his UK debut in an exhibition with kickboxer Aaron Chalmers.
