Ghana’s Richard Commey would have to wait for another date as his fight against America’s Alejandro Luna has been postponed.
Commey was billed to fight Luna on February 10th in Texas in IBF lightweight World title eliminator on the undercard of Sergey Lipinets and Mikey Garcia clash.
However, due to a hand injury to Lipinets, the whole card has been postponed – a new date is yet to be communicated.
Commey’s manager, Michael Amoo-Bediako in an exclusive interview with Boxingghana.com confirmed the postponement of the fight.
“The whole show has been postponed because of a hand injury to Sergey Lipinets,”he said.
“A new date is yet to be communicated to us, but Commey is still training for a new date.”
Should Commey beat Luna, he will get the chance to fight the winner between Robert Easter Jr. and Javier Fortuna. The two boxers will battle each other on January 20th.
The IBF World lightweight belt is been held by Robert Easter Jr.
