Emmanuel Tagoe’s long-awaited return confirmed as January 26

BoxingGhana.Com can confidently confirm that WBO Africa lightweight champion Emmanuel Tagoe is preparing to defend his title on 26th of January 2019 against a yet to be named opponent.

Source close the camp of the self styled “Game Boy” disclosed this exclusive to BoxingGhana yesterday.

The former IBO world champ had to start all over again after the sanctioning body stripped him of his Belt early this year for refusing to defend the strap.

But since then, the Ghanaian has gone on to win the WBO Africa lightweight title against the much experienced Moses Paulus of Namibia who retired after the bout.

For many, Tagoe’s best fight in recent times was his last fight against the former world champion ‘The Hitman’ Moses Paulus who equally had some kind words to say about Ghanaian.

“Tagoe is a good boxer we should support him. Plus he is an African, as Africans we should always support each other.

I think he can make Africa proud, I wish him all the best of luck in his journey.” Moses Paulus told boxingghana.com

Emmanuel Tagoe’s record now stands, 29 wins, fourteen of those wins are by way of Knockouts with just a solitary defeat so far.
