Former IBO lightweight champion, Emmanuel Tagoe, is set to make a return to the ring on October 13, 2018, against yet to be named opponent, Boxingghana.com can report.
According to information gathered by Boxingghana.com, the fight will come off at the Bukom Boxing Arena and at stake will be the WBO international lightweight belt.
“Emmanuel Tagoe will make a return on October 13, a source close to Team Tagoe told Boxingghana.com.”The fight will definitely be staged in Ghana. The opponent name will be announced soon.”
“WBO international lightweight will be at stake so we are looking forward for it.”
Tagoe’s last outing in the ring was seven months ago when he successfully defended the IBO lightweight belt by stopping Fernando Saucedo in round 9 at the Bukom Boxing Arena.
The IBO then mandated the James Town native to defend his strap against Fedor Papazov but Tagoe’s team refused forcing the sanction body to take away the belt from him.
