Former IBO world titlist Emmanuel “Game Boy” Tagoe was received yesterday with a massive crowd at the KIA to cheer and encourage him for his bravery despite being defeated by Ryan Garcia last Saturday night.
Tagoe, who was seen with the GBA President, Mr. Kotey Neequaye met the fans who applauded and praised him to show support and encourage him even more for the journey ahead.
Earlier on, the CEO of Box Office Sports, Mr. Alex Ntiamoah-Boakye urged the fans to rally behind Tagoe instead of mocking him for his loss.
The hero’s welcome Tagoe received showed that the fans had taken Mr. Ntiamoah’s advice in good faith.
Game Boy Tagoe in his address to the fans in the Bukom community expressed gratitude to all Ghanaians for the love he received despite failing to succumb Ryan Garcia.
“When I arrived, the support I received from you people made me know that the people of Ghana love me. Apart from the love that Ghanaians have for me, seeing the crowd behind me has even made me emotional because I feel you deserved to be happier looking at your happiness despite what happened.”
There’s one huge positive remark one can make out of this; Emmanuel “Game Boy” Tagoe is highly motivated by the reactions he’s received so far from the people of Ghana and this is going to have good influence on him in his next fight.
Tagoe’s manager, Peter Khan who was also impressed with his performance has revealed that he’ll meet with his promoter Lou Dibella to plan the next move for the Ghanaian.
