Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) presidential hopeful, Dr. Henry Manly-Spain says he believes in the media, because they are very important in socio economic and sports development.
According to the businessman and boxing enthusiast, the media will play a key role in his administration as they are the agenda setters and the gatekeepers.
He said radio, newspapers, television and now social media are key in development as everyone needs information to be better.
He commended the new GBA TV which is to promote Ghana Boxing online, and promised to support it to become big.
Dr. Manly-Spain said when he becomes President of the GBA, he will move along with the media and sought advise from them.
He expressed that there is more to do to raise Ghana Boxing to a better and bigger level, and be respected among the international community as the best African Boxing nation.
He urged the media to promote boxing like they are doing to football, and write or talk more about the boxers who are the main characters in the business.
He hinted that Ghana will soon get another world champion, naming Jessie Manyo Plange as a strong contender..
