Canadian Welterweight boxer Custio Clayton, originally billed to fight Ghana’s WBO Africa interim titlist Robert Quaye made a quick work of his Argentine counterpart Diego Ramirez in a brutal TKO to defend the NABA Welter belt on Tuesday 28, January 2020 at the Danforth Music Hall, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

The fight was put together by Lee Baxter Promotions – which is owned by Lee Baxter in collaboration with Dibella entertainment. Clayton was making his first defense after securing both the vacant NABA welterweight and World Boxing Organisation International Welter belts against Johan Perez from Venezuela.

Custio who is currently ranked number 10 by both the IBF and WBO, and number 13 by the WBA, dominated his Argetinian nemesis Diego Ramirez (21-4, 6 KO’s) from start en-route to his round 8 knockout in their scheduled 10-rounder welterweight contest.

“I want that title (Terrance Crawford’s title),” he stated after his emphatic near perfect victory. “That’s something I think everyone always works toward. It’ll be a big year this year, and by the end of the year I should be able to get that title shot.” Clayton expressed

The Canadian has now improved his records to (18-0, 12 KO’s) and it is still unclear if he still fancy a fight with Ghana’s Robert Quaye any time soon.

In the other fights, Steve Rolls TKOed Gilberto Pereira dos Santos in the 4th round to secure a sweet victory whiles Hurshidbek Normatov beat Uriel Hernandez via unanimous decision, same as Amanda Galle Shelly Barnett.
