Ghana’s Richard Commey has heaped praises on his promoter, Lou Dibella, and manager, Michael Amoo-Bediako, ahead of his World Title fight.

The James Town native will be getting his second shot at the World Title after failing to win the IBF World lightweight title against Robert Easter Jnr. in 2016.

However, ahead of his fight against Russia’s Isa Chaniev in Frisco, Texas, Commey has hailed Dibella and Amoo-Bediako for helping him to get another shot at the World Title.

“I have to say a big thank you to my promoter, Lou DiBella. I know how hard it is for Ghanaian fighters to get promoted by the top promoters, but Lou has consistently shown that if he thinks you’re the man, then he will be the man for you,” Commey said.

“He has shown this by the investment DiBella Entertainment has put in me and by getting me this shot at the title and securing it in the United States. I also want to thank my manager, Michael Amoo-Bediako, for the faith he has put in me over all these years. He is more than a manager to me, and come Feb. 2, I will be repaying him in full.”

Commey was originally scheduled to face Mikey Garcia for the IBF belt but the latter gave up one of his belts to move up in weight to challenge welterweight titlist Errol Spence Jr.
