Cesar Juarez and his team have left Ghana for Mexico after their failure to win the interim WBO World super bantamweight belt.
Juarez arrived in Ghana brimming with confidence but he was sent packing by Ghana’s Isaac Dogboe after he was stopped in round five last Saturday at the Bukom Boxing Arena.
The Mexican was dropped in round two but he beat the count. In round three and four he was severely punished by Dogboe with some hard body shots.
In round five, he was sent crashing to the mat after the Ghanaian connected a ferocious left hook. He managed to beat the count again but he wasn’t in good shape forcing the referee Tony Weeks to stop the fight.
Dogboe will now face full WBO World super bantamweight champion Jessie Magdaleno who is currently injured.
