A lightweight world title final eliminator between Ghana’s Richard Oblittey ‘Terminator’ Commey and undefeated Alejandro Luna set for 27 of January is in serious danger of postponment and at worse cancellation.
This is because Junior welterweight champion Sergey Lipnets has suffered a hand injury and has therefore called off the bout scheduled for 27; Unfortunately that happens to be the same bout that Richard Commey was to fight as undercard against Alejandro Luna for the chance to fight the current world champion Robert Easter Junior of United States of America.
With the main bout off until further notice, the rest of the scheduled undercards have all been cancelled until further notice.
Fortunately, when boxingghana.com contacted our reporter in Georgia in the United States, he assured that the injury to defending title holder Sergey Lipnets, was not that serious as first feared and that he should be back in a couple of weeks time.
