Former WBO super bantamweight champion, Isaac ‘Royal Storm’ Dogboe (23-2, 15KOs) is set to make a sensational return to the ring, BoxingGhana.com can report.
Per information gathered by Boxingghana.com, the date for the former Olympian’s return will be May 21, 2022, against Ugene Lagos (16-6-3, 11KOs)
The site of the aforementioned date will be the Accra Sports Stadium. Dogboe is putting in lots of work in his gym located in DC, in the United States of America ahead of the upcoming clash.
The fight will be on the card of the clash between former world champions, Mickey Bey and Tevin Farmer.
Lagos’ last outing was on November 11, 2021, when he was stopped by Michael Magnesi.
The last time Dogboe fought in Ghana was on January 6, 2018, when he stopped Mexico’s Cesar Juarez to win the interim world WBO super bantamweight belt at Bukom Boxing Arena.
Dogboe, who is ranked number 2 by the WBO won the NABF featherweight belt when he won via majority decision against then belt holer Adams Lopez on June 19, 2021, in Las Vegas.
He then made his first defense of his NABF strap by scoring a majority decision win over Christopher Diaz on November 20, 2021, in Las Vegas.
