BoxingGhana.com can confidently say that Ghana’s Peter Ato Ricketts (18-3, 11 KOs) suffered the third defeat of his career when he was dropped by Reagan Dessaix (14-1,10 KOs) via a second round TKO in at New South Wales – Australia some few hours ago.
The fight which took place at the Boxing Mania 2 Show, Seagulls Rugby League Club started with the Ghanaian under a lot of pressure from his counter part Reagan ” The President” Dessaix.
At stake was the WBA vacant International Boxing Federation International Light Heavyweight and vacant World Boxing Association Oceania Light Heavyweight Titles, But the challenger failed to make any impact on the fight. He looked slow and perhaps stamina suspect.
Reagan who is ranked 85 best boxer globally outclassed his 246 ranked Ghanaian whose last was on the third quarter of last year 2018.
It must be reiterated that Reagan dominated the two rounds and deservedly ended the fight very early with his reach advantage.
The 4th best boxer in Australia completely floored his opponent in the second round with some power combinations.
Simply put, the Ghanaian was just not himself and did not come to the party as he was outboxed, outsmarted and outpunched in every department of the game.
