Berchelt-Valdez to headline Saturday bill from Las Vegas LIVE on ESPN
The Battle for Mexico will air live on ESPN this Saturday, Feb. 20, as WBC super featherweight world champion Miguel Berchelt goes for title defense number seven against undefeated former featherweight world champion Oscar Valdez at the MGM Grand Las Vegas Bubble. The 10-round super featherweight co-feature will see undefeated phenom Gabriel Flores Jr. take on former world title challenger Jayson Velez.
Promoted by Top Rank, in association with Zanfer Promotions, Berchelt-Valdez and Flores-Velez will air live on ESPN in the United States at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT. The undercard, including the returns of Dominican knockout artist Elvis Rodriguez, Puerto Rican welterweight star Xander Zayas and Brazilian middleweight contender Esquiva Falcao will stream live on ESPN+ starting at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT.
Berchelt, Valdez, Flores, Velez, Falcao, Rodriguez, Zayas and Top Rank President Todd duBoef will meet the media for a Zoom press conference Tuesday beginning at 3:45 p.m. ET/12:45 p.m. PT.
