Australian-based Matchmaker Wants Ghana Government To Invest In Boxing

Australian-based matchmaker Mike Altamura has urged the Government of Ghana to invest more in boxing after Anas Aremeyaw Anas latest exposé.

The video which was aired on Wednesday at the Accra International Conference saw top football officials taking bribes to influence the outcome of a football matches.

In the video, the Ghana FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi was also seen extorting monies from potentials investors by using the name of President Akufo-Addo.

In Ghana, football is regarded as passion of the nation, and with the current happenings Altamura has advised the Government to take a second look at how they pump money in football.

According to the international matchmaker, the Government must support boxing now the credibility of football has been shattered.

“With the credibility of soccer shattered in Ghana, time the Government started legitimately supporting the one sport that has always shun the light gracefully on the nation, producing 8 world champions.
