The much awaited fight between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury looks certain to occur in few months from now with Promoter of the IBF, WBA and WBO Heavyweight King, Eddie Hearn disclosing that, a few people needs to sign their contracts to make a headway, adding that, the deal is therefore a done deal
“To be honest with you we’re really waiting on their signatures now.
“The issue is there’s about four or five people that’ve gotta sign their contract and much fewer that have gotta sign our contract.
“So we’re in a good place, everything seems to be agreed.
The Matchroom boss continued,
“Now the proof will be in the pudding when those parties sign the contract, we’re ready to sign the contract.
“We’ve said to them, ‘Go round and get all your signatures because there’s so many of them and we’re ready. We’re ready, we’re ready to sign that contract.”
The fight to happen is imminent and has no issues from the two corners, hence boxing fans can be assured to see the real heavyweight king crowned, but when exactly could this battle for the ultimate take place?
Eddie Hearn therefore gave an insight on that revealing a possible rematch date as well
“You break them up into probably May, June, and then November, December [for the rematch].
“I think it’s about where and of course they’re two British heavyweight world champions, and if one of those fights at least didn’t take place in the UK it would be a shame.
“I know ultimately people think it’s my decision but it’s really not. We will take all the offers that will come from all around the world and present them to both teams and both fighters.
“Ultimately, normally, the biggest offer wins. It’s the natural process of getting Tyson Fury, getting Bob Arum, getting Frank Warren, getting MTK, on the different timezones to get that over the line.
“This is where it gets interesting because we’re there. Off you go, pen to paper, let’s crack on.” He concluded.
