The city of Kumasi was entreated to some great boxing artistry as amateur boxing sensation Salifu Inusah Jafaru KO’d his challenger one very experienced pugilist in Kumasi called Bature Kwame Bawumia over the weekend the 5th of May at the Zeeba Cinema Moeshie Zongo-Kumasi.
Popularly known as the pride of Moeshie Zongo, the self styled boxer ‘Jedakiss’ improved his records further in the amateur 60kg division.
His record now stands at 18 fights with seventeen victories and a solitary draw.
The initial round one begun with both boxers sizing and taken stock of other but the round ended with flurry of punches and body hooks.
The second round was no different as Innusah Jafari resorted to more jabs until the final opening came when he threw some big hooks and that floored the veteran Bature Bawumia in the third round.
The fight had to be halted in the third round because of the consistent pressure that Innusah exerted on his counterpart.
There were some notable personalities that graced the occasion on the night, Kessben FM’s Jeffrey Asare was in attendance including the Kumasi boxing Council.
