Alfred ‘The Bukom Bomber’ Lamptey To Face Commey On March 7

Young enterprising boxer, Alfred Lamptey of the Black Panthers Gym will face the biggest battle in his boxing career when he clashes with experienced Raymond Commey in a grudge fight that has already made people in Accra West start saving for the date.

The bout is on the bill of Box Office Promotions to celebrate this year’s Independence Day anniversary at the Bukom Boxing Arena.

It is going to be an action packed six rounder and the boxing fans cannot wait to cheer their idols.

The promoter, Alex Ntiamoah Boakye said “it is a must see fight featuring the youngster against the experienced man, 32 year old Commey who may have been fighting even before 17 year old Lamptey was born”

Commey has a record of 19 fights and 9 loses in 28 fights, while Lamptey who loves to be called the Bukom Bomber has won all his four fights.

Other boxers on the bill are Michael Ansah aka ‘One Bullet’ versus Sherif Quaye. This is a repeat or revenge bout as Ansah was the victor in the previous fight.

Boxing fans believe a rematch will settle all the arguments as Quaye does not want to accept that he lost to the One Bullet.

Fans favourite, Malik Jabir who came out to declare he want to fight the best boxers to teach them more lessons will take on Felix Ajompion aks Avaro of the Bronx Gym.

Alex Ntiamoah said there would be other mouth watering fights on the bill.

Box Office based in Bukom is known to have promoted the biggest fights in Ghana, such as when Bukom Banku met Ayitey Powers and the ‘Make or Break’ – Bukom Banku versus Bastie Samir.
