Ghana’s Abubakari Quartey suffered 5-0 unanimous decision loss to Mauritania’s Marvin Clair in the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Australia.

Quartey lost to Clair in the Men’s Welter (69kg) Round of 32.

He thus becomes the second Ghanaian to get eliminated from the Games.

Wahid Omar had earlier also lost 5-0 unanimous decision to Australia’s Harry Garside.

Omar was Ghana’s medal hopeful – he won the nation’s only medal (a Bronze Medal) in Glasgow four years ago.
