In an interview, the Ukranian poster boy though admitted that Teofimo deserved commendation, promises to end the hype that surrounds the Honduran-American since other fighters are making Teofimo Lopez look special.

“Teofimo looks special Yes, but is it the kind of opponents he faces that makes him look it.” unified lightweight world champion bullishly expressed.

In a related interview, the WBA (Super), WBO and WBC champion, Lomachenko identified flaws in Lopez’s victory over former world champion, Ghanaian Richard Commey.

“To be honest, I did not have enough time to fully understand what happened, but in the two rounds that I saw I got the feeling that Lopez has flaws and problems in defense, so in one round, in the first round, he managed to take so many of Commey’s punches, and many of those did not need to be taken,” Vasyl emphasized.

“I think that if it had not been from that lucky punch – because I call it a lucky punch for him – then we would have seen plenty of interesting things in the course of that fight,” Lomachenko concluded.

On the other hand, Teofimo Lopez says he won’t allow a natural featherweight in Vasiliy Lomachenko defeat him come fight night in April, 2020.
