The professor of boxing Azumah Nelson has promised to set up the re-match between Braimah Kamoko aka Bukom Banku and Bastie Samir hopefully next year.

The professor confirmed this when the Bukom styled boxer requested his assistance in helping make the bout possible.

“I respect my father Azumah Nelson because he has done a lot for boxing in Ghana. I am asking of my father to make the fight (Bastie Samir vs Bukom Banku) possible.” Bukom Banku requested of the Zoom Zoom Nelson.

The dialogue ensued at the press conference of the “Bliss on the hills’’, one of the biggest Christmas events in Africa which is held annually in Kwahu Abetifi and has this time collaborated with the biggest boxing brand in Ghana, the Azumah Nelson fight night.

The former world champion equally responded to Bukom Banku’s request

“Bukom Banku is a champ. and has matured with time, I thank you all for making time to attend the presser. Of course we are going to set the Samir Bastie and Bukom Banku’s second fight hopefully next year.” Azumah said.

The Azumah Nelson brand is trying to extend boxing beyond the frontiers of the city by expanding the boxing economy of Ghana to all the regions of the country.

The event will commence on the 25th December with a gospel rock show.

On the 27th Dec, There will be Afro Pop Night which will stage the likes of Sarkodie, Obrafour, Shatta Wale amongst others.

28th December will be for sight seeing at some of the finest tourist locations in Kwahu.

Plus there will be Keep Fit exercise and MP’s cooking.

29th December will feature a Raggae Night which is going to harbour the likes of Stonebwoy and international reggae star Taurus Riley.

The ‘Bliss on the hills’ package is an initiative bankrolled by the Member of Parliament for Abetifi, the Honourable Bryan Acheampong.
