The Black Bombers trio representing Ghana at the Tokyo Olympic Games left some of their teammates in Ghana and they had their own way of encouraging them to victory.

In an exclusive interview with Musah Lawson, a former Bomber and Jessie Lartey, the duo who have been training with their teammates currently at Tokyo shared a few words of motivation to urge Sulemana Tetteh, Shakul Samed and Samuel Takyi to victory in the upcoming Tokyo Olympic Games in Japan.

Musah Lawson started, “It is always a joy to see the Black Bombers representing Ghana at these kind of events as it adds prestige to their person and to Ghana Boxing as a whole. I used to be a Bomber before turning pro and it has been a fantastic journey. I want to use this opportunity to tell my brothers out there that we are solidly behind them. It’s been praises all over the various gyms as we have watched their growth and determination. I personally wish them all the best and I know they are going to make Ghana and the entire Bombers team proud at the Olympics.”

As he ended his submission, Jessie Lartey, a current Black Bomber added his words saying, “I am a Bomber, I know what the Bombers can do, they have a very good coach, and he is determined to make you break your back to achieve the maximum. I want this message to reach my brothers in Japan, they should never forget that the whole Ghana and the Bombers team they left behind are all praying for them to make history. Japan is our home, and we can conquer in the ring when the bout starts. We have boxers with dancing feet, and they surely will dance their way to victory.”

It is always emotional when you must wait in anticipation but there is joy in all the anticipation knowing what the end results will prove to bring.

In his last remarks, Jessie Lartey added, “We the team in Ghana are praying for them, we are solidly behind them, they should remember that nothing is impossible, they should believe in themselves and go for gold. ‘For a determined mind knows no boundaries”.
