The WBO bantamweight world division is currently without a regular champion as  John Riel Casimerophi of the Philipines is the one with interim belt. That presents a big opportunity for the self styled ‘King Kong’

The Ghanaian made his second defense against 23 year old Shabani Hashimu Zuberi, a Tanzanian boxer whom he decisioned over twelve rounds at the  Aborigenes Beach Resort, Keta in the Volta Region of Ghana on Friday 19, April 2019, a feat that has landed the WBO Africa champion the number contender slot ready for a third shot at the world title this year.

Joseph Agbeko is still undefeated in his last seven bouts after that painful defeat to the stubborn Cuban fighter Guillermo Rigondeaux(18-1,12 KOs) in 2013 losing his World Boxing Association World Super Bantamweight and World Boxing Organisation World Super Bantamweight Titles.

The ‘King Kong’ will be making a second defense against Shabani Hashimu Zuberi, 23, a Tanzanian boxer who made his debut in 2014.

Undeniably the BANTAMWEIGHT (118 lbs) (53.52 kgs) is hotting up by the day, but the experienced Ghanaian warrior is very confident of becoming a three time world champion before hanging up his boxing gloves.
