Current number one contender in the WBO bantamweight latest rankings, Joseph Agbeko (36-5-26 KOs) alias ‘King Kong’ is set to defend his WBO Africa strap against Kenyan, Gabriel Ocheing (20-7-15 KOs) on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at the Aborigines Beach Resort in Keta, Volta Region of Ghana.
Dubbed the ‘FIST OF FURY’ synanimous with the current amateur boxing league, the former International Boxing Federation (IBF) Bantamweight world champion is confident of registering the much needed victory to propel him bid for a world title next year 2020. A feat the Ghanaian is relishing
The ‘FIST OF FURY’ show is being put together by Aborigines Promotions and as part of the Anlo Traditional Festival “HOGBETSOTSO” celebrated by the people from the region.
Since Agbeko’s last defeat to Guillermo Rigondeaux in 2013, when he failed in his attempt to capture the World Boxing Association Super World Super Bantam and World Boxing Organisation World Super Bantam Titles, the Ghanaian have gone on a seven (7) successive bouts undefeated, winning in the process the WBO Africa belt which he has defended twice so far.
The 39 year old Ghanaian fighter is hoping to claim the last bit of the cherry by securing another world title before he finally bows out of the pugilist scene, but he must first overcome the 32 year old Kenyan, a former national Super Fly champion and the current Universality Boxing Organization (UBO) International Bantam Titlist.
What is clear is the fact that Agbeko is by far the most experienced, decorated and most proven of the two in terms of pedigree and quality oppositions.
On the night, IBF Africa Lightweight champion John Koudeha from Togo as well as Victus Kemavor, Nathaniel Nukpe and Anama Dotse will all be in action for what is pencilled to be the real Fist of Fury come Nov 2
