Wasiru Mohammed versus Bihes Barakat bout in Germany postponed

We regret to announce that the highly anticipated international bout debut of our esteemed boxer,Wasiru “Gyatabi” Mohammed, will not take place as planned on Saturday, 21st September at the Telekom Dome in Bonn,Germany against Bishes Barakat due to unforeseeable travelling circumstances.

Wasiru Mohammed,the renowned national champion and former WBO Africa and WBO Global titleholder expressed deep sadness over this development, particularly out of concern for his loyal fans,who will undoubtedly be disappointed.

The fight scheduled to be held under the Prime Fighting Promotion banner, would have seen Wasiru face off against local favorite Bihes Barakat. However, due to unforseeable travelling circumstances,the event has been postponed indefinate.

We are currently exploring options to reschedule the match with a potential date in November or December barring any unforseeable circumstances.

Wasiru Mohammed who bounced back into active boxing after few years into hibernation, Lartekwei Lartey(Trainer)and members of Team-Wasiru are deeply disappointed with the latest development of their trip to Germany.

The former WBO Africa and WBO Global titleholder has put in the required seriousness, efforts and hard work in training outside his already tough training regime.

According to the handlers of the potential world champion,everything is been made to reassure the boxer,team members and fans, that they are working tirelessly on getting another chance in no time for the boxer to travel and represent Ghana on the International stage.”Wasiru will bounce back from this unfortunate situation and we are looking forward to his next fight in due course God willing “: stated John Manfo, manager for the young pugilist.
