Wasiru Mohammed Calls On Navaratte For A Showdown
Ghana’s WBO Global Super Bantamweight Champion, Wasiru Mohammed aka ‘Gyatabi’ has called on the WBO World Champion, Mexican Emmanuel Navaratte for a fight before moving up in weight.
Undefeated Wasiru Mohammed said every body is afraid of him ever since he won the WBO Global title, and he is hungry to fight any one at any where.
He said he sees himself as the best, so he wants to fight the best in the world.
According to Mohammed who is ranked in the top 10 of the World Boxing Organisation (WBO), he is ready for any of the champions in all the world boxing bodies like, WBC, IBF and WBA.
“I am really hungry, as a lion in need someone to devour” he expressed.
His trainer, Lartekwei Lartey of the Fit Square Boxing Gym confirmed their readiness to take on any top boxer in the super bantamweight division.
The assistant national team coach said his boxer is fit and prepared to challenge any of the tough boxers from Mexico, USA, UK and Australia.
Veteran boxing consultant, Mr. Yoofi Boham who is technical advisor of Team Wasiru Mohammed expressed that every boxer has his time, and this is the time of Gyatabi who was tipped for greatness by world boxing hall of fame inductee, Professor Azumah Nelson.
Meanwhile, Emanuel Navarrete is being tossed a softball opponent in journeyman Uriel Lopez (13-13-1, 6 KOs) in a 10-round non-title bout next Saturday, June 20 on ESPN+ at the Gimnasio TV Azteca, Mexico City, Mexico. Navarrete (31-1, 27 KOs) is moving up to featherweight to take on the 25-year-old Lopez.
