Ghana’s medal hope in boxing, Omar Abdul Wahid could not make it to the medal zone after losing 1-4 to the Commonwealth Champion Jonas Jonas Junias from Namibia in the Men’s Lightweight quarter finals.

It was a very close contest and Wahid could not believe that he lost as he fought very well.

One of the judges made it 2-3 in fovour of the winner, but the corner of Wahid taught they deserved better.

Omar Abdul Wahid who was the only boxer at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games may try his last hopes on qualifying to the 2020 Games in Senegal before joining the paid ranks.
