WABA APPOINTS MCPHERSON AND KALAKODA AS MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The President and Chairman of the Board of WABA Onesmo McBride has moved to create sophisticated management by the appointment of key personalities to the WABA Board of Directors.
President McBride appointed Mr. Sterling McPherson to the Board of Directors in charge with “WABA the Return Initiative” and Mr. Steven Kalakoda as the “WABA Commissioners Representative”. The appointment as Members of the Board of Directors is for three years from February 8, 2020.
Meanwhile, WABA has tentatively identified three venues (Las Vegas in the USA, Cape Town in South Africa and Arusha in Tanzania) for its inaugural convention to take place October 2020.
Mr. Sterling McPherson (Las Vegas, USA), Mr. Sherwin Enoch (Johannesburg, South Africa) Ms. Irene Joseph (Moshi, Tanzania) and Ms.Linda Bezuidenhout (Atlanta, USA) will coordinate to see the best venue for the convention. Decision will be made this month (February) on the best venue for the WABA inaugural convention 2020.
Also, WABA conventions will rotate every year to take place in the WABA Commissioners territories so as to promote the WABA Brand and assist responsible Commissioners to train ring officials and other key personalities working in the sport of boxing.
