Tyson Fury is not yet a finished product

Tyson Fury marked his comeback with a 4th round TKO when his opponent Seferi retired on his stool at the end of the round but that by no means meant a good performance.

No disrespect to Seferi but he was never going to trouble an opponent who out-weighed him over four-and-a-half stone and towered over by a foot.

Aside the fact that age was his biggest enemy going into the bout against a young-man ten years younger, the boxer was just a shadow of his oldself.

“It felt fantastic to be back, I want to say thank you to the fans. Manchester, you are wonderful. Seferi came here. I knew he was a tough guy, but his corner pulled him out. It was like I was having my debut again. It has been a long time out of the the ring. There is still work to do.” Admittedly stated Fury.

What was reassuring was the fact that he won but that was by no means a justification of readiness for the likes of Joshua and Wilder.

“Frank Warren will keep me busy and the calibre of the opponents will keep on rising. I’m aiming to have a title shot by the end of the year.” Stated Fury.

Fury’s has now gone 26 bouts with 18 KOs and still yet to taste a defeat. Unlike Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder, Fury has 73% when it comes to knockouts. In addition to his 150 rounds of boxing.

The fight itself was very dull and Seferi did not give Fury a run for his money, a typical example was when Fury momentarily stopped boxing to watch a brawl instead of concentrating.

Truth be told, he knew the opponent was not much at all to offer him the test he needed.

“The opponent was small and light. But he took me a few rounds, which I was happy with.” Bullishly stated Fury.

With his next test scheduled in August 18, the former world champion must really up his ‘A’ game if he really wants to challenge the best in the sport.
